Yuck....It's Monday again!

Yowza...it is only 10 a.m...after 4 cups of coffee...I'm kinda feeling as bug-eyed as the poor cat in the picture....

I can't believe the weekend is gone...again....in a whirlwind of activity.....nothing to show for it but a caffeine high and extreme bouts of tiredness...

So..how was every one's weekend? Mine, as usual, was extremely busy....
Friday, the hubster ran kids for me....so that I could get my hair done and get a mani/pedi....wasn't that nice? He took Max to Grandma's and dropped off Aaron to meet his dad...all at the hubsters Moms house....the first ex met them as well, so that hubster could pick up Justin (14) year old...he was staying with us again so that hubster and him could go to a football game Saturday...
Hubster and Justin then met me at the mall after my appointments were completed and we went to Apple bee's for dinner...it was great...nice steak and a glass of wine, I was feeling pretty good...of course, no weekend would be complete without a trip to Hell-Mart....thankfully, we only had to get a couple of things, so we were in and out...pretty painless. The hubster and I were going to dress up and go out for a few drinks..but I have been battling a bad cold for about a week and once we got home...I really did not feel like the whole dressing up bit and going out....we opted to stay in, watch movies, just relax....

Saturday morning, the hubster and Justin left for the Purdue/Michigan game....I didn't care to go....so, they left about 9 a.m....and I had the entire house, to myself for 7 glorious hours....I slept in....woke up and had a pot of coffee, surfed blogs, watched t.v...then returned to bed for a 2 hour nap...yes...I was lazy...and I deserved every single minute of it!
I finally got around to taking down all of our Halloween stuff....that should have been done a week ago...just didn't have the time...with that complete, I got dressed and waited for the boys to come home....
We went for dinner at this wonderful Indian restaurant...The Bombay...it was delish.....14 year old had never had Indian cuisine before...he loved it.
Hubster had to work Saturday night, so, after dinner, we came home and he went to work...Justin and I stayed up, watched the stupidest movie....
If you have not seen this movie....don't bother...it sucked! I won't even elaborate..it was boring, repetitive...just plain stupid!

Sunday....I left in the early afternoon, to drive Justin the 2 hours home...we stopped and had lunch...went to the mall, where 17 year old works, I baked some cookies and took those to him, he was embarrassed...because I put the cookies in this little basket

and took them into the sporting goods store where he works...I love embarrassing him like that....he took it good naturedly and when I left, him and his co-workers were digging in.

On the way back from dropping Justin off at home, I had to divert by hubsters Mom's house, to pick up Max and Aaron....and driving home, I was flipping through the radio channels...you will not believe what I heard....Christmas Music...an entire station, totally devoted to playing nothing but Christmas music...unbelievable!!
I mean, we just finished Halloween, have not had Thanksgiving yet...there are already Christmas carols on the radio....Before we know it, the commercilization of Christmas will start after Labor Day....

Well, that's it...my boring weekend in a nutshell...thanks to those of you that actually stuck this post out to the end...I have nothing of any interest to share right now...hopefully I will feel more inspired later on...

Dixiechick....out!

Mmmm...love Indian cuisine, almost as much as Tai.

Guess you're right - we do have a few things in common.

Why, of course we do Monk..probably more than you realize...I had some kind of chicken in a curry type sauce with tomato and some other stuff..don't really remember...must have been those couple glasses of Indian wine I consumed...all I remember it was sooooooo good!!! I could eat there every week. I love just about any kind of ethnic food...except sushi...never tried it, but just the thought of it does not appeal to me...Have a great day...

Yummy!
I adore the loving way in which you embarass your son. I can't wait to do that to my own kids! LOL!

I hope you find the book, I had forgotten and was reminded by my mom that I also used to use her little toy broom to "sweep away the monsters and bad dreams" and then I'd lay it outside her door so nothing could get past it.
AHHH the innocence and unflappable trust they have for us!
Stil enjoying your page!

Sushi is definitely an acquired taste. You start out with something tame like a California Roll and the next thing you know you'll be craving delicious Spider Rolls, Tuna and Salmon pieces.

I'm exhausted after reading that.

I have not heard any Christmas music yet, but I look forward to it when it starts the day after Thanksgiving.

Thanks, Rachel..I did find the book, bought it and read it to Max last night....Great. He loved it. I think we are going to fill a spray bottle with water, use that as "Monster Spray"....to help keep them at bay...Glad you are still enjoying my page, it can get kind of boring at times..but I hope you keep coming back. I read yours every day.

Monk...I don't know..I guess I am scared to take that first bite...maybe if I had a friend to eat it with me..might cave and try it...as it is, my husband won't even attempt it.

Nap...I seen 23 too..poor movie for a Jim Carey movie..made absolutely no sense to me either. Trust me Vacancy was just as mind numbing...don't rent it!

Katie..enjoy the single life while you can...girl...once you have kids....your life will be crazy too..it is exhausting. I stay exhausted alllllll of the time...lol...but I wouldn't trade it for anything....Thanks for stopping by.

Daddy-O...I like it too..just not this early...after Thanksgiving..yeah, that is when it is the right time to play it...that's when I start my shopping, so it's kind of festive to hear it then..
Have a great day!
