Back to work....Feeling better.....

I have already cleaned off my desk, put together a power-point presentation and sent out three proposals...I have done an entire days worth of work in two hours....Yay me!

Anyway, I have recovered from the chinese buffet of death...and I am feeling much better...thanks everyone for all of your well wishes...it may take me awhile to visit everyone and get caught up but that is one of my goals for this afternoon.

Since I am getting the silent treatment here at work...they tend to do that...when you call in...get all pissy and everything with you....at least for a couple of days...I am full time....yet, they pay us no sick time....we call in, we have to use vacation time, I only get 10 days a year..do they think I call off for the hell of it? I would prefer to use my vacation time for days when it is above 70 and sunny, not 16 and snowing....I really need to look into finding another line of work..seriously, ya'll...this is the worst job I have ever had in my life....but, I probably shouldn't complain...at least I have a job, right? Um...yeah.

Moving on....

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty boring....Hubby and I went out for dinner Friday night and I stayed true...no wine...I actually drank water and coffee..but, oh it was tempting, let me tell ya....Saturday, I did a little shopping, got a pedicure...hubby and I went out to eat again...hey, I had a gift certificate....why cook when it was just the two of us and the food was free....

I did watch some movies this weekend....want me to share with you...three to be exact...

First up....Mr. Woodcock....

It was ok...Billy Bob wasn't quite as funny as he was in Bad Santa..but, overall...not too bad...worth renting...so, by all means, if you haven't seen it...rent it...good for a few laughs.

Then I watched the Nanny Diaries..

It was ok....on a scale of 1-5..I would give it a 3. Guys, you wouldn't like it...you Moms out there...maybe. It made me realize what a wonderful Mom I am..seriously....I felt so sorry for the little boy...but Scarlett Johannson did a pretty good job as the nanny...kind of sappy in certian scenes...not one I would ever watch again, not one I would go out and buy...

The third movie I watched....absolutley freaking hilarious....will buy this one...will watch it again...
Good Luck Chuck....

There are no words to describe how funny this movie was....and It had cutie pie Dane Cook and the lovely Jessica Alba in it....if you have not seen this movie, run and I do mean run to your nearest video store, add it your netflix que..whatever you use...and get this movie...warning, not meant for kids...lots of sexual humor in it...so, don't watch with the kiddos around..

Well, thats all folks....guess I better be a little productive....get back to work...but I will be checking in on all of you hotties later today.

Have a good one..and remember....American Idol tonight....I do have one more question though....is it worth my time to recap the show like I do....do you guys like it when I do that? I didn't get much of a response on the Dallas audition recap that I did, so I figured if you guys aren't interested in me doing that...then I won't....just let a girl know, M'kay?

Oh. My. Lord....

Jessica Alba in "Good Luck Chuck" is my all time favorite fantasy. Have I ever told you that?

Glad you're feeling better!

I so agree with you on the Nanny Diaries, I cried for the little boy!
My husband watched it with me and seemed to enjoy it, which is really weird considering the fact that he usually falls asleep on the couch when we watch movies together .... maybe it was Scarlett that kept him awake ?!?

I am so glad you are feeling better. It sucks that your coworkers treat you like that. People get sick! At my previous place of employment, my boss would get so mad at me when I would call in sick. Even if it was to take care of my ill child! She would call me at home and tell me how frustrated the owner was and made me feel super guilty. I hated it.

Fortunately, my current boss is very understanding.

I want to see the Nanny Diaries. I am sure my BF won't want to see it though. lol

I haven't seen the first one. Saw the second one and I agree with you.
I am dying to see Good Luck Chuck so thanks for the positive review!!

I've been visiting here? What do you mean you haven't seen me? You haven't been looking close enough!!
I've been really busy and not in a bloggity mood, y'know :-)

Proud of you for staying true! I'm on day 6 of not one single Diet coke and I think my head is going to explode. Seriously, I want one so darn bad. But all I drink is water, eat fruits, veggies and lean proteins.. I feel great but damn I want a diet coke :-)
LOL.
Miss ya!

I'm sort of afraid to rent Good Luck Chuck...I mean, you know I'm no prude, but is that even something to watch with the wife? The previews look extremely crude - even for a pervert like myself.

Dix- Glad your feeling better hun, Good Chinese is good but ohhhhhh bad Chinese is hell.

The wife subjected me to the Nanny Diaries, she liked the book better, I fell asleep during the movie. Not so much

On the Dancing with the stars thing, keep it up, I love getting the recap here when I am working and miss it. I loved 2 seasons ago, last one I got most of my updates from you

I'm SO glad you're feeling better!

Food poisoning is the WORST! :(

Thanks for the movie reviews!

Haven't seen any of these movies, may have to now, though.

Did I ever tell you my Grandma's name was Dixie? Everytime I come here, it reminds me of her. She was funny and witty like you....

Glad you are feeling better. I can't believe they make you burn vacation time when you're sick. I think they should give people at least 5 sick days a year.

Wow...14 comments...you guys are awesome....

Slick...
No, I didn't realize that Jessica Alba was one of your fantasy chicks..doesn't surprise me...I think she is a lot of men, maybe a few women's fantasy as well...yes, I am feeling much better...no need for any pimp juice, or nothing like that..lol.

Daphne...your husband watched Nanny Diaries with you? Wow...my husband was not interested to say the least...as far as Scarlett goes...girl doesn't do too bad of a job acting...she does need to go back to being a blonde though..that suits her better.

Kim..yeah, my job sucks, the people I work with suck...but, it pays the bills...not too shabby...I just hate that I have no friends here....I have always made friends at the places where I work..not so here. I am like the red-headed step child...no one wants...I don't know why, I am such a loveable, likeable person...lol. As far as the Nanny Diaries..I think you would like it....not a lot of profanity, sex or anything like that....ok for the kids to see....if your bf is like my husband, nah..he probably won't want to see it either.

Rachel, sweetheart..guess I just wasn't watching close enough...I've missed your comments. Anyway, hope you watch Good Luck Chuck...it is hilarious..I would not steer you wrong...just don't watch with the kiddos around...lots of sex and bad language scenes...as far as staying true...let me tell you..I want a glass of wine so bad I can almost taste it...so, now instead of wine, in the evening, I have been drinking the Swiss Miss International Coffees...which in turn, just keeps me awake...but, oh well..can't have it all...at least I am losing weight...that is important...so, I with you on the craving thing...email me sometime...hatkedonna@gmail.com.
Check ya later!

Nap, yep..I thought it was a riot...kind of like the 40 year old virgin sense of humor, except in this movie...he is getting too much sex....very funny, wouldn't steer you wrong either...check it out, let me know what you think.

Monk....I don't see as to where your wife should have a problem watching Good Luck Chuck...but, if you have doubts...get it and watch it one of the nights she goes out with her girlfriends....I know you, I know you would like it...

Enforcer...thanks sweetcakes...I am much better...I will never eat that Chinese buffet ever again...terrible, just as you described it....bad, very bad....and as far as Nanny Diaries go...yeah, definitely a chick flick...I wasn't too impressed myself, although I didn't fall asleep...did you mean Dancing with The Stars or American Idol...I will continue to do recaps on both...glad you enjoy them...

Novelist, thanks hon...yeah, I am a procrastinator too....usually, I wait until the final hour, the death clock starts to count down....then I jump in with both feet and get it done....I really need to win the lottery! Lol...I wouldn't procrastinate on spending money....

Janet...as I have told everyone else...check it out....very humorous..but don't watch with the girl...too much sexual humour and innuendos....thanks for your advice regarding AI..I think I will continue it...regardless of comments or not...I have fun doing it.

Mamageek..the stretcher bit was one of the funniest parts....I love Billy Bob...yeah, it was good for a few laughs...

Ajooja...seriously? Where did you get sick or what did you get sick from? Kindred sprits...I 'm telling ya! Wild....

Pissy...thanks sweetheart...I am much better...back to the same old Dixie....as far as movie reviews..glad you enjoyed them...I will try and do more in the future...

Toni...awwwhhhh...you are so sweet....you make me feel all warm and bubbly inside....I bet your grandmother was a lovely woman....glad I remind you of her...and yes, check out the movies....I recommend all three....
With Good Luck Chuck being the best one.

Daddi-o...yeah, dude I can't either...stupidest policy I have ever seen. I have never worked anywhere else that, as a full time employee, you did not accumulate sick time....sucks.....I hate having to use my vacation time....but, it's either that or lose a day's pay...don't want to do that...

Thanks for stopping by everyone...you all rock!
