I have posted pictures of my three younger children, but someone brought to my attention, they have never seen a picture of my 17 yr old. As most of you know, if you have read my archives, he does not live with me...he lives with his Dad. He lived with me up until he was 13, I was newly married, with a new baby, at the time his Dad was single...Tim felt like he should be with his Dad...nothing I did or did not do....I was hurt, badly....I felt like I had failed as a Mom...Why would my son want to leave me...now, I realize it wasn't me...there just comes a time in a young boys life when he needs his Dad...at 13, that time had come for Tim. He is very active in sports, so is his dad...so, it was best for him at the time. I only see him sporadically now...seeing as how he has his on life..so to speak.....He is on the JV football team, yearbook staff, runs every day, lifts weights after school, football practice, tons of friends (very active social life), still maintaining and A-B average and works part time at a sports store at the mall. Also, throw in the fact that he lives almost 2 hours away from me...makes it hard to get together. Although, I did visit him last Sunday, on his lunch break, at the mall where he works. It was so good to see him, each time I see him, I am amazed at what a fine young man he is becoming. I am so proud of him....he makes good grades, he is crazy funny, well adjusted, good head on his shoulders teen-ager. We don't have an ounce of problem from him. I miss him when he was little, but I am so looking forward to seeing what a fine man he is going to be.....if you read this Tim....Mom, loves you. The picture I posted was taken last year, at Homecoming...he was on the homecoming court....escorting his girlfriend at the time.

what a great post, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for taking the time to read....
What a handsome young man! You must be so proud of him!
He is a cutie.
I'd imagine I would be hurt, too, if one of my children chose to live with my ex. Heck, my daughter sometimes tells me she would rather live with him (when I am punsishing her usually) and it hurts! It hurts, even though I know she does not really know what she is saying.
Now, Tim and his brother both live with their Dad...both moved in with him at 13..it is hard to let them go..sometimes, you just have to look out for what their best interests are, put your own feelings aside. Their Dad is a great dad...everyone is happy. That is what matters, I guess.
What a dapper young gent! You should be very proud, he sounds like a stellar young man. I have two little boys myself and I know it will be hard to see them grow up!
I am proud of him...I am proud of all my boys...it is hard to see them grow up...it happens so fast.
My boy is only a year- and when I think of him at this age I hope that he will be as upstanding as your boy. Congratulations on a job well done!

He's so cute! I think teenage boys do need their dads, I'm sure he loves you all the same.
