Getting Old.....

You know you are getting old when everywhere you go, you are called Ma'am by everyone you come into contact with..also, when you go to purchase a bottle of wine, for a friend for her birthday or..for yourself... and you don't get carded anymore....hasn't happened to me in quite some time. I actually can't remember the last time I was carded...next month is my birthday....and I am not looking forward to it....don't cashiers everywhere know that it makes an "old" ladies day....just ask for the I.D....cause if you don't...she spends the rest of her day lamenting how damned old she is and wallowing in a pit of depression....just sayin!

OK, Dixie, so they don't card you anymore. At first I'll bet you were happy about that, now ...

I get a third look at the drivethru's when I get to the window. They generally don't tell me how much I owe until I get to the window because they don't think I could sound so young and be a senior ready for the senior discount.

Someone forgot to pack my nephew's underwear too, he isn't used to packing his own suitcase. His wife generally does that for him.
Any it was my niece who had to go shopping in Hawaii to get him some new ones.

Jim..yeah, funny how that works, when you are young..you don't want to be carded, when you are old, you just pray they will..lol.
As far as the underwear thing....I didn't forget to pack them....the manager just insinuated I did when I issued the complaint of theft...oh, well...hubby took care of it, I have pretty new undies and I wrote a letter to Motel 6 corporate, waiting on a reply.

I'm never carded and it makes me quite sad. On the rare occassion I am carded I get very excited and dance around a little and sometimes tell the person carding me that I love them. ;)
