Monday again?

Dang it! I can not believe it is Monday and I am back at work. Working Saturday pretty much gave me no weekend to enjoy. I swear, I feel like I was just here....

This is me this morning....this is a face of a person who seriously hates Monday...I am so tired, ya'll...

What, no smile you say? How little you know me my Internet friends...this face does not smile on a Monday...especially when I am in this florescent lighted pit of hell!

As I have stated in previous posts....work is overwhelming right now, so my posts will probably be kind of scarce...I do promise to post about Dancing with the Stars tomorrow though. I am looking forward to getting out of here today, I am not going to the gym, I am going to go home this evening, make a pot of chili and some cornbread, get the chores done early, kids in bed by 8 p.m...and I am going to sit down, watch Dancing with the Stars, without interruption, take notes and write all of you other Dancing with the Stars fans a decent recap!

So, my one day weekend went ok...I worked until three p.m. Saturday...went to the gym for two hours, then rushed home to relax before our evening out with our new friends.
It was fun! They are a great couple and we enjoyed our time with them. They were at our house until about 3 a.m. Sunday Morning and I felt so bad that they had to leave and drive their two hour drive home. When we meet up again, I told them it would be our turn to drive and meet them. I am not sure if they had that great of a time though. We took them to a couple bars we go to...the first one, the Neon Cactus, almost didn't let us in....it was Bacardi Night and the Bacardi girls were there...they had the red carpet rolled out, guys in suits standing outside allowing people in...or not allowing...whatever. Anyway, the male friend of ours had on a really nice shirt, but he had the sleeves cut off of the shirt, the bouncer guys told him he couldn't come in unless he changed his shirt....WTH??? It seriously ticked hubby off as well as my new friends....but, it worked out, the staff gave him a t-shirt, he put that on underneath his shirt....so, we all got in. Unfortunately, I forgot all of West Lafayette is smoke free, and our new friends smoke, so that was another aggravation for them....then, my friend and I went to the bathroom together, went to wash our hands, there was no soap...so, my friend "jokingly" said, "Great bar you brought us to, Donna".....LOL...I knew she was kidding, but I did feel bad. We had a couple drinks, danced a little, the guys got to ogle the Bacardi girls in their short tight silver dresses.....then we left, went to another little bar...but, it was so hot in there, we didn't stay long. We left, came back to our house and hung out for a while before they left to drive back home. I'm not sure how much fun they had, but I am hoping it was worthwhile for them.
Sunday afternoon, hubby and I slept in, somewhat, then dressed and went to this great Indian Restaurant, The Bombay...oh, my gosh, there food is so so good! I love going there....after our late lunch, we came home, took a little nap then did the 100 mile trip to pick up kids, throw in a stop to Hell Mart for chili fixings and laundry soap, we arrived home late.....tons of stuff to do to prepare for the return to work and school...so, needless to say, the kids got in bed an hour later then normal..I hate that, they were so tired this morning....hence, the early to bed comment for them tonight.
I did get to watch this last night.....in between chores...

Did anyone else watch it? What did you think? For a season premiere...I thought it was just ok...in a ho hum sort of way. I am curious about Edie's new husband...is he a psycho? The going forward five years, or was it six? was kind of a neat spin to things....it surprised me that Mike wasn't dead...I expected it to be him, not the other woman and her child...Gabby becoming the tired, overweight stressed out mom/housewive was kind of funny...the part where she drove her car, made her little girl run behind it to "lose weight" was kind of funny....I would never do that to my kid, but you have to look at Gabby's weird sense of humor....she is a little out there....it's going to be interesting to see what kind of antics she will be up to this season. As far as Bree goes, her and Katherine or still in and out with each other and it also looks like she took Orson back....the Scavo twins growing up and being reckless and out of control was kind of funny, especially the scene with Tom's convertible....
Overall...I like it. For those of you that seen it, what did you think? I would be interested to hear your opinions...

Well, I better stop here...lot's of work to do...Hope all of you have a great week!

Dixiechick...out!

if they jumped ahead only 5 years, how do those twins end up 16? they NO WAY were 11 at the end of last season.

i think the show kinda jumped the shark last night.

Your Monday face does not look happy AT ALL. And don't you hate those lights? Ugh. They totally screw with my makeup. Hope you have a good week.

I'm glad you made new friends to go out with. I have never understood bars that have strict dress codes. Seriously...its a freaking BAR! lol
