Oh..one more thing....

Why are these invading my house

....there are probably a half dozen on my ceiling/wall right now, two inside of my desk lamp.....

There have been the same over the last few days....where are they coming from...how do I get rid of them...I have heard a lot of people say they are having the same problem...what is up with that? Are any of you under attack by these pesky little "lady bugs?" Or is just us in the Mid West?

Must be a mid-west thing. We see few lady bugs in the NW and the kids like to catch them when they do see them.

They are everywhere here (Illinois), too! They've been really heavy the last couple of years.

Oh well, better them then a plague of locusts, I say...

Daddy-O...weird, really. I don't understand how they are getting in the house. My kids have been freaking out over them...we caught a few with a hand broom/dust pan, took them outside and let them go...then this morning, there were more..
Maybe they are just trying to get out of the cold...

Hey, Dirk...thanks for stopping by. I love your blog by the way...glad to know that it is probably a mid west thing, not a plague of locusts...lol.

We only see them now and then here in Florida. We have these things called lovebugs that are two little black bugs that stick together at their butts. They get onto your car and their guts eat away the paint. :(

Lovebugs are a sign of good luck, aren't they? Maybe you will be having some MAJOR good news coming your way.

Random fact about me: I have a tattoo of a ladybug on the top of my foot. :)

I went and did a search...sounds like your area is particularly bad with ladybug infestations around this time of the year...

Solution: Go to Walmart and buy the gallon jug of BUG STOP - spray around windows and doors on the outside and inside if your kids are ok with it. BUG STOP comes in a clear gallon jug with a sprayer attached. Good luck!

Kim..I don't think these are love bugs..they stink too...when you pick them up to throw them out, they leave an odor on your hand..yuck...I hope they go away soon. Bugs creep me out.

Monk...I looked at Walmart on my lunch break...I did not see it...I will check at Menards or Lowes..thanks for the suggestion.

Nap...I have no clue...I will try Monk's suggestion..see if that gets rid of them.
