Wow, I can't believe it has been two weeks since my last post. Where the heck has time gone? Were any of you worried about me? LOL....I have not been deliberately ignoring this old blog, but work still has me shut off from blogger....this morning, once again was just a little quirk and allowed me to get on.
So, what's been going on? Nothing....work is still as frustrating as ever.
My routine outside of work is still the same...
The kids are out for summer vacation. Their last day was Tuesday. Aaron is already acting like a teenager, at the age of nine and a half...he sleeps in until noon, only rolls out of bed to get some cereal and back to his room for Playstation time. Which is causing a stir in our house...as Max, at six, enjoys the Playstation too, we only have one....so, hubby says the fighting starts as soon as Aaron is up. Don't know what to do about that. I hate having to work, not be at home to plan activities for them to do this summer. I would love to check into some kind of summer camp, but then you have the expense. We don't have the money. The ex still has not paid any support for Aaron, hasn't since last September...it is really getting old and starting to piss hubby, and myself, off in a major way.
Also, hubby came home yesterday, said they had laid off 200 people where he works. Luckily, he wasn't one of the 200....yet! Keep your fingers crossed that his business picks back up, orders pick up (he is a machinist) and he doesn't get laid off too. Just like millions of other families out there, with the economy on a downturn, they are having to struggle and endure, for one, I don't know what we will do. Luckily the house we live in is paid for (belongs to hubby's parents), so we won't have to worry about ever being homeless....when it comes to feeding the family or rent payment, they will work with us...but, as I told hubby, no sense worrying about something that has not happened yet?
Has the economy effected any of you? If so, what are you doing to get by?

This weekend, my oldest son graduates high school...it is going to be bittersweet. I can't believe my son is at the point in his life where I was just 20 years ago, seems like yesterday....I am so proud of him, I will make sure to post pictures as soon as I can.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Dixiechick...out.

The economy has not affected us yet...*knock wood*, but our spending patterns have certainly changed of late. We're pretty damn frugal for us and we're TRYING to get some money in savings and keep it there. My company is avoiding layoff's by issuing a hiring freeze and no merit raises...which is fine with me!!!!
